DRY TRANSFORMERS – GRAVITY LINE

Gravity Line products include various models and power classifications of cast resin transformers that can be used for a wide range of applications. The production range is up to 2500 kVA at voltages up to 24 kV. The Gravity Line uses efficient high-voltage coil winding technology to offer an affordable solution that does not compromise on the demands for high quality and performance maintained by SGB-SMIT Group standards.

By keeping our engineering and development team in house, we are able not only to satisfy special customer requirements, but also to support the long-term development and evolution of the Gravity Line product line.

TECHNOLOGIES AND CERTIFICATES

The Gravity Line features excellent electrical, mechanical, and thermal properties while maintaining reliability, long-term sustainability, and environmental protection.

The low-voltage windings are produced using aluminum foils, with prepreg or cast resin as insulation. The high-voltage windings are coiled from aluminum wires cast in epoxy resin under vacuum. All manufactured transformers undergo routine testing in our own testing laboratory followed by final quality checks.

Gravity Line transformers are F1, C3, E3 certified and can be upgraded to higher climate or environmental classes if required. All transformers also pass partial discharge testing up to 5 pC. The insulation class of the transformers is F.

Gravity Line dry-type transformers feature not only fire safety, derived from flame-retardant materials and materials that do not produce toxic fumes in the event of a fire, as well as by increased short-circuit resilience. The transformers are also resistant to salinity and moisture.

Our transformers do not pose a risk to surface or ground water and there is no need for oil change or maintenance.
